More than 35 million people visit Las Vegas each year making the city the most active convention and business meeting host in the country. Many large, popular hotels are sold out much of the time even though not a year goes by without the addition of thousands of new rooms.

The economy is growing to form a diverse base. Off the "strip" and in the outlying areas, about 4-5 miles away, one could be in any new community in the U.S. with all the family oriented amenities and not even think about gambling and such.
