Unfortunately, Boris left us last year to pursue other interests in his native Canada and to concentrate more on Operatic music. Starting this season, the orchestra is hosting a series of guest conductors.

Oxnard Real Estate is surrounded by rich agricultural land and numerous new shopping centers. Between the communities of Oxnard and Ventura lies McGrath State Beach, one of the best bird-watching areas in California. The Harbor is undergoing a comprehensive renovation. Besides rebuilding and replacing boat docks and sea walls, a new boating center is under construction and a major new hotel will replace the legendary Casa Sierra.

With a new Loew's Warehouse Store reaching completion and all the other improvements in recent years, the City of Oxnard is no longer the sleepy farming town of the past.
